Female Infertility: Strange Causes and Herbs used to treat them in Yorubic Medicine

On this blog, I have repeatedly talk about female infertility and the various ways we tackle female infertility among Yoruba and Africa people generally. Today I want to point out some strange causes of female infertility and some of the herbs we use to treat them in Yorubic medicine.
These causes are not known to modern medical science. They are only known among African people.
Ø  Worms
There are some pernicious herbs which prevent pregnancy or cause abortions, among them are Aran Ginisa, Aran Ewuru, Aran Latonlaton, etc. Unless these worms are destroyed or kept at bay, pregnancy is difficult. There is a kind of worm associated with witches, which is difficult to eliminate; the herbalists resort to spiritual and occult means for suppressing it. These worms are treated with Dalbergiella welwitschii root, Picralima umbellate, etc.
Ø  Swollen breast prior to menstruation
This means that the breasts swell some days before the monthly period; the real cause is unknown but it is a sign of female infertility. Root of Akere jupon is used to treat it.
Ø  Action of witches
In Africa, we strongly believe that witches or wicked people that operate in darkness can cause problem spiritually for others if you offended them or they don’t like you. 40% of female infertility is believed to be resulted from this according to Yorubic medicine. In this case, herbalists usually resort to occult means to treat it.

  2. Hi…
I’m 40 years old and my husband is 44. We’ve been trying to conceive for 6 years now, and had 3 rounds of failed IVF. My doctors said I couldn’t develop any eggs. My FSH levels were high and progesterone levels were too low.
The good news is that I could get pregnant naturally without invitro fertilization and other Assisted Conception treatments by using natural remedies.
look at the method we use here:
